6 Weeks Post-op Visit @ 11 Weeks?

Hi, i'm 6 weeks post....TAH/LSO...I had a post op visit @ 4 weeks. My MD. checked out my incision and talked to me about the path results, then set up my next post-op visit for 6 weeks later.

he said i could return to work after my 6th week, but said nothing to me about having sex. so today i called to get my release to return to work, i asked the nurse about resuming sex and she told me not til after my next visit and intrenal exam.

i don't understand why i have to wait til 11 weeks post. i have been given no reason for this and am wondering if another other sisters have had this problem?

HAPPY HEALING TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD LIFE!!!

(((((((Skm))))))),

All Drs. have their own preferences about when you have your follow up and releases for certain activities. The 6 weeks you hear here is just average. Some are longer ,like you,and some shorter.

I am sorry you have to wait ,but please do wait!!!!!!!!! Your Dr. must have a reason. I would want an internal to make sure before I had intercourse.

Best wishes,

Pamcat

Pam,
thank you for your response. i put in another call to the md to see if there is some reason for this. i was told pre op and when discharged from the castle that it would be 6 weeks so i still just don't understand. unless there is something i don't know about! any ways i will just have to wait and see what they have to say.
THANKS
