Update on latest doc visit

Went back to the gastrologist today for a follow up visit. He has scheduled me for a colonscopy on the 26th. Basically he wants to try and treat me with pain management. Ie: pain meds and stomach meds. I DO NOT want to take drugs for the rest of my life :'( !!!! I believe that he does think that scar tissue and adhesions are the reason for my pain. If that does prove to be the case, I do not think he is going to do anything about it. I do like this doc, as he is very very nice and spends alot of time with you. But I cannot take the swelling, bloating and pain much longer. I will do the colonscopy and guess go from there. I think he is just doing the colonscopy to appease me
This is all getting to be too much for me ladies. Between the hormones and the swelling and the pain, I have to get some relief soon. I feel like I am following apart here! I am basically a very strong person, but I feel like this is starting to take over my life. I can't concentrate. I am taking 2 classes at night school and am having such a hard time holding it together. I grasp the concepts one minute and than the next day it all looks greek to me.
Sorry, I'm babbling now. Tomorrow's a new day.
Thanks for listening my friends.
Hugs :-)

{{Kim}} I fully understand what you are going through. It is so hard at times but remember hang in there Somehow someway someone will find out what is wrong and be willing to treat it. I am going through Pain Management. I've been going there for a couple of months and I can say my pain is better but it is still there I have been prolonging another trip to the GI Doc but have decided to go this time. Maybe the Colonscopy you are having will show something and it can be fixed. Stay strong and dont let
this get the best of you. Continue to search for those answers. You know we are always here for you You will be in my prayers.

Hi Kim
I'm so sorry your still hurting. I can totally relate to your feelings. I have days like that too. It's hard but it will get better. It's so fustrating to know there is something wrong and have to wait for the doctors to figure it out. But they will and they can treat or alevate almost anything these days. So stay tough. Once they got it figured out you'll be on your way to painfree days.
Kimberly
