estrace and premarin

I have no personal experience with the vaginal cremes, so I cannot address side effects questions....however, Premarin creme is prescribed frequently by doctors for vaginal atrophy. Estrace creme is another alternative, and in my understanding, delivers less amount of estrogen to the vaginal tissues than the Premarin creme does. Some women have said that the premarin creme causes vaginal irritation--but a lot of women also say it helps with the vaginal atrophy symptoms....it's all an individual thing...some do better on the Estrace creme. It's a matter of finding what works best for you.

I'm unclear as to what your question pertains to---did your doctor prescribe estrace or premarin creme for you? There are always side effects listed with any prescription.
