got my jeans on

I got my jeans on today!

I guess I have lost a bit of weight as they were a bit loose around the waist, little snug across the belly. I only wore them to make a quick trip to the mall. After an hour the zipper was irritating my incision.

Oh well...got my jeans on today!

Don't the smallest things make us happy? I remember when I fit into my jeans at three weeks post and was so jazzed that I smiled all of the way to my Dr. appointment. Congrats...WTG!!

We had surgery on the same day, and I'm so glad that chapter is closing and the new one is opening. I wore my jeans (the loose ones) to church Sunday night. They were comfortable until about the last 15 minutes of the service, then they got pretty irritating..... thank heavens for comfy undies....

Isn't it amazing the things we once considered insignificant the most exciting? Guess it teaches us to appreciate those little things, huh? Mine was walking to the end of the driveway to the mailbox without constantly holding my stomach.... lol

I had my TAH on 6/16/03, haven't tried any jeans yet, but am getting ready to drive for the first time to my doctors appt. Any hints would be helpful. Congrats. on the jeans I was thinking maybe this weekend. I am just so glad I found this site, It has been sooooooooo helpful. Good Luck to All.

I am at week 3 today and have been driving for a week. The best thing I did was take a small pillow to put over my incision where the seat belt goes across. It has made me feel more secure and gives my husband and daughter something to laugh about as the pillow looks like a fish.
