tummy tuck????

Hello Sisters. I had TAH/BSO on 7/1. Previously, I had two c-sections. The doctor cut out the old scar...about half an inch above and below. Is this considered a TT?

tummy tuck????

Hi! Sherry
That's a difficult one, I would think if they took away an inch of tissue that it could be called a TT, but I am not medically trained so your Dr. would be able to tell you. Ask when you go for your check up. Take care, be good to yourself & then your will have a speedy recovery.

maybe just a little

my md would call it a mini tt, that is what he does free of charge esp since we have no plastic surg in town, he does a great job tho, he also crisscrosses the lower ab muscles to creat a little tightness, go easy on your muscles and skin and they will do great, I can't wait for mine!!!!

tummy tuck????

No a TT is when muscles are repaired along with skin & fat removed. I just had TT & PS took off 3 1/2 lbs of skin & fat. Also with TT your belly button is moved. All skin is pulled tightly down & pulled up from the bottom then sewn togather. It is considered major surgey . A panni ( mini TT ) is when only skin is removed from below the belly button. If anyone is interested in looking into it a little more there is a wonderful support site http://breasthealthonline.com/. Ladies on BHO are the one's who sent me to this site when I learned I would be having a TVH.

RE: TT

Hi, my Dr. also took off an inch or more at my incision with my TAH.BSO, but I don't think it's really considered a real tummy tuck. A real TT is from hip to hip. Mine is just above my hairline where my C-section scar was. Hey...it's better than nothing!! I can't tell he did anything right now, still swollen and will be for a while. Just thought I'd give you my experience!
