Pap results & other ?

I had my pap done on 6/17 and I have still not gotten the results, it usually only takes a week. I plan on calling the Dr's office tomorrow but have been wondering if any of your abnormal test results took longer than usual to notify you? Also, my DH and I have our bed sitting right on the floor (no bed frame under it), we were going to purchase one before my TAH/BSO/LOA in Sept but then started to wonder if it might be easier to get in and out of bed as it is now? Any thoughts?

Hi Donna!

I was at the Neurologist's office the other day and they warned me that testing WILL take longer for the rsults as everyone is taking their vacations now. It might be that the lab is simply backed up and under staffed. Don't borrow trouble hon! If there was something wrong, you SURELY would have heard by now! Most doctor's offices go by the motto: No news is good news. Please consider these two points before you drive yourself crazy!

As for the bed, I pictured myself trying to get off the floor post op and I didn't like the picture I was drawing for myself. You'd be better off being up off the floor hon. It's easier to swing your legs over and stand up from a bed's height that trying to stand up from the floor.

I think I'd call the DR office and check on that. My dh had a test done and the nurse just "forgot" to call him!!! I would not assume anything either way, good or bad. No sense making yourself crazy, as NorthernWolf said.

Get the bed up onto a frame. I can't imagine getting up off the floor post op, either!

I wouldn't worry about the test just give doc a call and they'll put your mind at ease!!!!!!
