abdominal wrap?

I am 10 days post and feel I should hold my belly when I walk or move. I had a vertical incision and TAH/BSO. The book suggested an abdominal wrap, what is that and should I be holding my stomach so much?

abdominal wrap?

(((Crickett))))))))),

That would be an abdominal binder found at medical supply places.

I didn't use one, but I did hold my incision area when I walked for weeks. It felt better !!!!!!!

I had the bikini cut.

Hon, if it feels better to hold your abdomen, hold it , I did !!!!!!!!

Best wishes,

Pamcat

abdominal wrap?

I got my binder at Walgreens. They also have them at most other drug stores. They are usually by the ace bandages. Mine was a huge help.

panty girdle

At about 5 weeks post op I developed a sore spot just below the naval. I also had a vertical incision, I went to wal-mart and got a couple of light support panty girdles and it helped a lot. Good luck.

abdominal wrap?

I do the same, holding my belly when moving or walking.
I do not think I could stand to have a wrap of any kind around my belly, I still can not even stand to wear under wear!

I go tomorrow to have my staples removed and am driving myself nuts wondering what I am going to wear! I came home wearing my house coat. Wonder what they would think if I walked into the Dr's office tomorrow wearing it? LOL
I also hae a vertical incision.
Keep on holding on! :-)
