4 weeks post-op, bleeding incision

I just got out of the shower and as I was drying my incision, I noticed BLOOD on the towel!!! I looked and it looks really raw and yucky on one spot, like the granulation tissue I had has come back. I guess I've pulled something loose. I have to see the doctor at 1 pm. I'm so tired of setbacks!!!!

I am so sorry you have had a setback! I am two weeks po--(TAH/BSO) and too have had setbacks--fever/bleeding. It is so discouraging. They come out of nowhere.

Good luck at the doctors--please give us an update!

Hang in there. I had setbacks at 2 weeks and it is frustrating! Let us know what the Dr says and we'll help you through it!. Can you put a pantyliner over the area until you get to the Dr? I used a clean washcloth when I started leaking.

You are in my thoughts and preyters

UPDATE--Back from doctor

Incision: normal spotty bleeding from the granulation tissue...he swabbed/cleaned it with peroxide (owie, it stung) and said unless it's gushing, nothing to worry about.

Internal: He went ahead and did this since I was supposed to have it done tomorrow. Owie again. The actual insertion didn't hurt but the swabbing did, I think he must've done a pap smear or was checking for something...it kinda felt sore and raw when he did that, but he said everything looks good, and I am cleared for tub baths, woo hooo!! Just no bubble bath or very hot water.
Still no sex or heavy lifting for 2-4 more weeks.

Hormone test from last week: NORMAL!!! NO HRT needed, yay yay yay!!! The ovary is doing its job. ))

I return in 2 weeks--if everything's ok THEN...then I'll be released!

Glad to hear that it was nothing serious and that you are "free" to do a few more things.

Remember you are still healing and need to be pampered!
