Just Wondering

I've been reading alot of the posts, alot of warnings about taking it easy after hyster.. ok, other than the obvious, the stitches coming out too soon, tearing open the incision, etc. What are or could be the consequenses (spelling) of overdoing say at 4 or 6 weeks post-op? If I sound dumb, sorry, but I know me, if I feel better, I'm going to be up trying to do something.
Still waiting impatiently for a surgery date. You sisters are great, have learned so much.

Hi Connie,

Here's a link that goes into detail what can happen if you overdo it too soon:

What Can Happen If You Overdo it

And here's another link of recovery reminders: http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...986#post692986

It's important to remember that you only get one chance to heal properly. If you blow this chance, you don't get another. So, even though it might be tempting to overdo it, just remember this one simple phrase: IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!

Best wishes and s,

Lisa
