Recurrent Cervical Cancer 3 months out?
Hi Everyone,
On Friday I went for my first three month check up with my gyn/onc. His first reaction while getting ready for the pap was, "I see some abnormal cells there." After the he proceeded to do 4 biopsies. Has anyone else had this happen only 3 months after their hyst? Or even later? Maybe it is not cancer, but just healing tissues?
I have to wait 2 weeks for my results. I will call him after a week and a half and start bugging.
Anyway, now I am playing the waiting game again and I hate it.
Thanks for listening and please, if someone has gone through this, please let me know?
Blessings to all.

Teresa, How awful that you have to go through the waiting for results thing again. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers in the hopes that you get a good report. Let us know how you do.

Teresa
I know exactly what you mean. The first checkup I had to have done twice due to the fact that I was too dry according to the doc.
As of right now, I have just been out 6 months from the time that I had finished treatments, and during my second 3 month checkup, in June, is when I had abnormal cells. Although your area may be nothing mine wasn't.
Here is to wishing you the best of luck on your results! (and speedy as well) BTW I hate the waiting, the unknown. I think I added a few more grey hairs to my head this past month.
God Bless & try not to worry (easier said than done, I know)

Recurrent Cervical Cancer 3 months out?
I am so sorry that you have to go through this. Over the past 20 months since I have been a "sister" I have seen women have abnormal paps after their hyster. Sometimes it has been nothing. Hopefully, you will fall into this catagory.
