I'm CLEARED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am completely healed inside and outside. He told me this morning that I could resume EVEREYTHING. YES!!!!!!!! I go back to see him in 3 months for one final check. He said not to be surprised if there was spotting. He did say if there is any bleeding what so ever to go in and see him and he'll do a silver nitrate stick to stop it. He was impressed that I was doing my 3 mile exercise video daily. I brought his nurse a new copy of the 2 mile exercise video and she was so excited. We had talked about it at my 3 week visit and when I told her what I was doing she was very interested. All in all a good visit.

Now if hubby's visit with the internist goes wellthis afternoon and he is cleared he'll have his neck surgery this Thursday with an overnight stay.

THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU ALL for the wonderful support, prayers, answers and peace of mind. Best to you and yours.

Way to go!!!!!!!

Congratulations! I hope you have some time for romance before your hubby's surgery.

Just remember to still be good to yourself. At 9 weeks post-op I've found that the healing from this surgery takes time - and I'm always in a hurry!

Are you using a video with a treadmill? I'm interested because I recently purchased a treadmill.

I'm CLEARED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT was even better than before the surgery. Hubby is truly a blessing to me. Such a relief to have no worries about monthly cycles or possible pregnancy. I am so glad I did this. I can't see how women go for years and years and suffer with the problems and the complications and almost hemorrhage to death. My friend almost died from hemorrhaging. She had the D & C's but would have to wear 3-4 pads just to be able to go out of the house. Finally her mother and Grandmother had to literally bring her in and they did the emergency hysterectomy to save her life.

About the exercise video, I do in in my frontroom under my A/C vent without any equipment in an area about 6'x 8'. Actually the new 3 mile I'm doing only needs about 6' x 4' because we don't move up and back like the other video. It is a great workout and wonderful for me because I hate exercise according to the outside elements. It's called "walk Away the Pounds" Super Fat Burning 3 mile walk. They use weights (1 lb. I think) but I only have the 3 pound ones and they are too heavy for my bad wrist so I just do the whole tape weightless. It's a God send for me.

Best to all of you.

Thanks for the video info!!!!

It sounds really cool!

Now, I get to share a little tidbit with y'all:

I injured my knee years ago and had to do physical therapy on my own - I couldn't afford to go to someone at the time. So my ortho doc gave me an exercise plan to get back on my leg and walking. I was to start out with 1/2 lb weights and work up to 5 lbs over time with my leg. Well, not only could I not afford to go to a personal physical therapist, but I couldn't afford to go buy a weight set. So my doc said to go to the grocery store and buy 5 pounds of the cheapest beans or rice I could find. Then just measure out 1/2 lb of beans, put them in a sock and tie it up at the end. I used safety pins to put it in a loop around my ankle and I had an instant leg weight! As I needed to increase the weight, I just added beans. By the time I got to 5 lbs, I had to use a pair of panty hose cut to size to hold the beans!

Any ways, it worked!

I'm CLEARED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG !!

After just 3 weeks from a TAH you are feeling that good?? Ok, now I am totally jealous here. *kidding*

At 3 weeks from mine I was still going very slow up the stairs in our 2 storey home here. Walking .. oh yes I have been doing that but at 3 weeks I was lucky to make it up and down the block before getting tired and needing a rest. Even now at 6 months post op Im still sore and find there are things I cannot do (though there are not that many). You are one magnificiant lady and honey .. Im so happy for you that you are feeling so great! Good luck with hubbys surgery hon. Hopefully you get good news there too.

Keep us posted.

I'm CLEARED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks You All for everything.

Palmer my checkup Monday was at 6 weeks. Actually my surgery was 6 weeks ago today. I didn't start back to my videos until the 2nd week after my surgery. Tried earlier but it pulled too much. And I can't compare my recovery to anyone else's recovery because I did these workouts 4 months before my surgery to get ready. I did not have a good recovery from my gallbladder surgery 15 years ago . I had the full surgery with the 6-7 " scar and it liked to killed me. So I knew I had to get ready for this one. And the exercise before and after has made a world of differencehas made a world of difference.

JoyNett that was a good idea about the beans and socks. You go girl. Necessity is the mother of invention.

I'm CLEARED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Magnolia,

Even at 6 weeks girl you are doing great. I went back to work after 6 weeks and still was zapped on energy after working all day. Mind you, sounds like you were smart and got yourself into shape beforehand (good thinking). Im sure if I was in better shape my recovery would be going better. Not that its NOT going well. I started yoga just last week to try and tone abit and found only one excercise (pose) that I could not do because of my belly being tender still.

Keep up the great recovery girl!

I'm CLEARED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear yoga is really a great thing to do especially for relaxation. My luck I'd get down on the floor and couldn't get back up again. Yes, the exercise really has "saved my life". I am a new person since I started. Now that my thyroid is regulated, my hysterectomy is done and I'm exercising I think I am on the right track to a long, healthy, happy life. Best to you and yours.
