I'm such a chicken over sex

Im such a big chicken. I am 6 wks and 2 days post op and my post op appt isnt until Fri the 25th. DH and I have still not had intercourse because I havent been cleared. We have enjoyed outercourse only a few times a week since I was cleared for it. I have been very scared of hurting myself or tearing something that may not be healed.

My dr did give the ok for tub baths at 2 weeks, swimming at 4, and outercourse (not oral) as soon as I felt up to it provided that hands were freshly washed. Outercourse has been fine. No pain and the sensation is just as wonderful as before.

As far as sex goes,I am terrified of ripping something out, I even have dreams about it. I cannot wait to be cleared for sex.. yet I'm terrified. Poor DH has been very understanding and has not even mentioned intercourse.

If anyone else felt this way.. how did you get past it? I have already bought the astroglide, massage oil and candles to prepare for that evening, but I am very worried of possible pain.

Any help or suggestions appreciated

I'm such a chicken over sex

I have not had any sex and am nervous too. I told my husband yesterday that It will be a new 1st time. I see my dr. next week wondering if he'll clear me. I suspect the fear is normal because I have it too.

I'm such a chicken over sex

I haven't been scared of sexual contact, but I do feel myself sort of pulling everything in as orgasm draws near. I'm afraid to let go and have the kind of orgasm I had pre-op because I used to feel that I was turning inside out. I'm afraid that if I have one of those big kablooey kinds of orgasms that I'll rip something.

But every time DSO and I get together, I'm more and more comfortable with the way my body feels now. He is just as sweet as can be and makes me feel so cared for. That's been a nice addition to our relationship.

I have the big kablooey kind of orgasms too. lolol I love the description! I always called them my 'sheet rippers'. I was also afraid to let go and enjoy until last week. Woohooooo! No pain and it was wonderful.

I guess I'll just have to take things slow I had a 'rejuvenation' to tighten my vagina up and I think that is a big reason of why I'm so scared.

I'm such a chicken over sex

At my 6 week check up the doctor could still see sutures and said to wait until 8 weeks. She said IF I did proceed there would probably be bleeding. We waited until week 7 and then started out gently. There hasn't been any pain and no bleeding at all. Everything is fine and didn't need any lubricants, etc. After getting over the first couple of nervous tries, it's even better. Have a glass of wine.

I'm such a chicken over sex

Hey there Debbie-
I have my 6 week appt tomorrow and am a little apprehensive about the "all clear for take off" signal as well. My DH has slept in the guest room for the past 5 1/2 weeks because I was still clinging to the big body pillow and was tossing and turning with insomnia. PPLus, I have the 'ol oozing wound, so we haven't felt very romantic. It's hard to think about sex when DH is packing your wound!

Well, our little niece is here to visit, so he's back in bed with me now. I know he is looking forward to the green light, and that he will be gentle, but whew, it is a bit scary.

I plan on finding a friend for DS to have an overnight with...lighting a candle (it's 100 degrees here, so only 1 candle), having a large cocktail (I'm a "cheap" date), and getting out that new bottle of KY Jelly (never needed it before). I think I will be holding my breath.

I do feel a little silly about it all. I wasn't even this anxious the first time! I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. Now, all I need is a big kablooey sheet ripper, huh!

I felt exactly the same way. I am almost 4 months post-op right now and I was about 8 weeks before we tried anything again. I was also terrified of pain so I let my dh kow that ahead of time. He was very gentle and very careful the first time because he didn't want to hurt me either. Everything went fine and I didn't even end up needing the KY. I didn't bleed the first time but I did once or twice after that. The Dr said that was normal and that I should just be careful and let her know if it continued (it didn't). Everything is fine now, actually even better since I am no longer in such pain all the time. Going through the summer with no pain, no pain killers, and no 3 inch thick mouse mattresses stuck in my underwear making me sweat even harder has been WONDERFUL!!! Sometimes I think that freedom from pain has put me even more in the mood!!

It's Better

Hi There

I am 9 months post op and let me tell you that sex is better than ever. I was very anxious after 6 weeks wondering if he could still "rock my world" I lubricate better and the climax is terrific. Being in no more pain must have something to do with it.

Try and relax and ENJOY

Regards
PFG
