tummy tuck done same time as TAH? how?

Hi,
I am new here, no scheduled date yet for TAH, should be August I am patiently waiting for pre auth from insurance.

I searched the posts and see some princesses have had a tummy tuck at same time as Hyst. I called some plastic surgeons in my area, South Texas, and they all said they work from their office, as opposed to the hospitol I will be in. I asked my GYN office if anyone else had asked about it and they had no info. Logically it would be a good time to do the tummy tuck I would think.

Any info would be appreciated.

I was considering doing a tummy tuck with my lavh. Then you can recover from both at the same time. I was going to do this, but with my insurance not paying much on my hyst...I can't afford both. The tummy tuck is a simple procedure and the plastic surgeon somes in as soon as the other dr is done and takes out the fat and then sews you up. I wish I could do that. I would go for it. I wil find out about my surgeons website and see if I can get it to you so you can find more info on it. I hope this helps...

It may not be a common proceedure in your area to have both done at the same time, however there are several ladies here (though I'm not one of them) who have had Tt's with the TAH.
If you do a search on tummy tucks or abdominoplasty (sp) you will find many posts on the subject. Not every woman is a candidate for the Tt and not all dr's want the extra work of coordinating with a PS, not to mention most insurance companies will cover the op.
