feel like I'm starting my period

I had a TAH/BSO 7-8 and I think I am on my way to becoming human again. IT TOOK LONG ENOUGH!!!!
My problem is that I feel "crampy" all the time. It is not a mind stopping pain, just like the day before my period would start. Is this something that happens often? I had everything removed, so I know it is not my period. I just don't know how else to explain the pain. Alos, walking is very painful. I feel like my insides are going to fall out of my incision at any second after the first block of walking.
Any ideas what to do???
Thanks sisters for your support. I love this site. I only wish like a lot of you that I had found this site pre-op.
God bless.

feel like I'm starting my period

Hi Rabonie,

First off, I'd say to give your doctor a call. Any new or unusual pain should be reported.

What you are experiencing could be the variety of aches, pains, and cramps that occur when the stitches start dissolving at around 4 weeks. Your healing tissues have to start taking over the roll of supporting your internal structures, and that can cause the type of cramping that you mention. It can even cause spotting too.

But again, it wouldn't hurt to call your doctor, just to be on the safe side

Best wishes and s,

Lisa

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!

I had my TAH, LSO and 1/2 right RSO on the 10th of July...three weeks ago and I have that odd cramping, too. I was just going to make a post on it....and how long it takes to go away.......I feel exactly the same way, when I called my Dr he said to use a heating pad on my stomach for 20 minutes at a time, it seems to help and I use it mostly in the evenings.

I, too, and beginning to feel normal, still sleepy....and probably doing too much for this early..I am a go getter and sitting just KILLS me...it is worse than the crampies.......I do get swelly belly by the evenings tho.

anyway I just wanted you to know, I am with you sister, and I am having the same thing.

To any other sisters that know how long this will last, post to let us know!!!
thanks
