headaches?

I have been reading as much as possible and can't thank you all enough for your generosity sharing your experiences to help us during our journey. My question is have any of you had such a reaction to taking PROVERA that you had to stop because your head hurt so badly it felt like it was going to BLOW! I started 6 days ago and it got progressively worse I called my MD and he told me to stop and I should feel better soon. I am scheduled for a TAH/BSO in November and the Provera was prescribed to help reverse some of the Hyperplasia and heavy bleeding, I guess it's been bad for so long I should be glad I can see the light at the end of the tunnel

headaches?

Helen,
I was prescribed Provera pre hyst for bleeding also and unfortunately it didn't help me at all. In fact I never did stop bleeding and ended up having a D&C, that was a few years before the hyst.

Headaches can be one of the side effects of Provera. I wonder if perhaps Prometrium, a bio identical progesterone would serve the same purpose without the headaches.

Best wishes on your upcoming surgery.

headaches?

Thank you I have been reading out that in this part of the board and will insist on that if I need HRT after the surgery.
