Boredom Question

Hiya All!!!

I am terribly prone to boredom! Just call me Mrs. Antsy Pants here! I was wondering if anyone knows roughly how much it would cost to rent a laptop for a couple/few weeks to noodle away the hours (I'm working on a writing project and also have a ton of computer games that I love) since I know I won't be comfy sitting at my desk computer.

Thanks in advance!!

Boredom Question

I'm not sure on rental costs. Do you have a Rent A Center near you? I'm sure they rent laptops, you can give them a call and ask them. Do you have any friends you could borrow one from? I luckily purchased a laptop at the beginning of this year when I started taking college courses online. I stopped taking courses in July when I really started to get too sick to focus, but the laptop has still come in really handy during my illness. Good luck on getting one!!

Boredom Question

I don't know how much it costs to rent one but my doctor told me to make sure the laptop was so close to me that I wouldn't have to lift it at all. Since I'm going to spend my daytime hours on the couch, I'm fixing a table that is the same height as my couch so that I can slide the laptop over to me. Also, I will have the phone next to me so I can surf the net and talk to my sisters on the couch also.

Another way I'm going to try to beat boredom (I'm a Mrs. Antsy Pantsy too) is that friends are lending me all their latest DVDs to watch. I, too, have a writing project that I need to finish too.

Hang in there,
Sherill

Boredom Question

Kim,

Do you have a couch or recliner close enough to your desk puter that you could use a wireless keyboard and mouse? My DS has wireless everything on his puter and loves it.

Boredom Question

Hi,

Just an idea, I set up my desktop computer next to my recliner with the monitor on a table set at an angle where I could see it, and sat with the keyboard in my lap. It worked perfectly! (I had a laptop from work that I used for awhile too, until I started having "hot flashes" and realized finally that it was the heat from the laptop and NOT my ovaries having hormonal issues!!)

As for boredom, check out this link for some ideas on how to beat boredom during recovery: Beating Boredom

s,

Lisa
