Hysterectomy: January 28th, 2003
Surgery Type: LAVH
Ovaries: Kept 1 or both
Pain 8 months post-op, lower right side

I have been having sharp pains about where my ovaries were. Although I still have the left one. I had a LAVH, They took everything but the left ovary. A few times the pains about doubled me over. Kinda afraid to call the doctor. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi Marie!

At 8 months post-op and developing new pain I would say you really need to call your doctor. No need to be afraid...it is always better to be on the safe side; if there is something wrong the sooner you get it looked at the better. Please call your doctor! Keep us posted on how you are doing.
