Twas the night before hysterectomy and.....

all thru the house, I was dashing round like a madwoman on a mission, what mission? all of them!! last minute packing and paying bills and 1 more load in the washer, wheres my undies?, I'm hungry, re-check the "night before surgery to do list" for the millionth time! shaved legs, took off my nail polish-fingers and toes, why toes? I hate my toes!, the only pretty thing about them was the polish, put on socks to cover ugly toes.....soaking 1 hand in ice, cause fingers are swollen and I have to get my rings off before I go! While loading dishwasher, look longingly at donuts on the counter, can almost feel eyeballs popping out of sockets like that silly cat on the cartoons! dryer shut off, DH hollers to tell me that, just in case I didn't hear it...*punch* brb......okay folded clothes and stuffed DH's in the drawer, unfolded. DS just came home, 4 hours early! what now????? if its bad news I don't wanna know............. suspense is killin me so I ask, well guess what? he is having a bad day, his tooth hurts from the filling he had this morning, his machine broke down and he got hollered at by his supervisor! so..... he decided before whacking someone in the head with a pipe wrench, he would instead take half a vacation day and come home! dumb lil chit! That's MY boy! jeeeeezzzzzz! I dunno where he gets it!! One ring is off, one to go, lost track of time since I started this post, been interupted so many times, maybe a few hours? Did I say I was hungry? Oh and I did the enema thingy, whoever said them things was a do-it-yourself project musta been double-jointed! It was difficult, although not impossible, since I did complete the task by myself! DH offered to help me.......I'm like NO thanks!, between the position I have to assume and the laughter thats almost guaranteed to begin once we try to follow the instructions, I can just see my bathroom walls ending up decorated in boo-koo doo doo! DH has gone to bed, said I should too, reminded him I still have one ring to go, and I can drink till midnight, so I am! because I have to fill up on something! I'm hungr...well, ya know! Had to hide all the candy jars and food from sight, afraid I might accidently toss something in.....its a habit! trying to watch today's soap opera and type, I keep having to rewind...grrrrr okay this is getting long. Gonna read a bit and see how the rest of ya are doing,,,,, omg! only 12 hours to go till the op! only 10 till its time to go to the castle! 's to all of you! I'm sure you'll hear from me again soon!

When I first read this I thought you said you put your DH in the dryer.

Good luck tomorrow and I hope your witty attitude goes with you to the castle. If it does the OR staff is going to be the one in stitches.

Good luck and I will be praying for you to have a successful and uneventful surgery!!

From (LIW) to all in one day...don't let it go to your head!

Dear Kayla,

Thanks so much for the needed laughs, you are much like me, I am cracking up already thinking about doing that enema! .
I showed my DH and he is thinking, OMG, now what!

As the ladies said..tomorrow at this time, it will be over. I can not wait to hear your castle stories..You take great care, and know that we are all sending healing thoughts!
