I've got the Swelly Belly blues...

Just started back to work this week. Although I'm doing ok, for the most part, by the end of the day my belly is soooo sore, tender to the touch -- from the belly button all the way down (I've got a binkini cut incision). I really have been blessed with very little problems while home recovering, but since I sit a lot at work it's now becoming an issue. I have been leaving work a little early each day so I can come home & put my feet up. Thank God DH is very supportive!

I had stage 4 endo -- does the work done to remove endo cause the abdomen to be more sensitive? Or is this just normal healing from a SAH/BSO? Has anyone found that support garments help with this?

I know that this too shall pass... but I'm just looking for some of the great Hystersister hints to make life a bit more comfortable...

Thanks for listening

I've got the Swelly Belly blues...

Hi

I see you surgery was the day after mine!

I too have just returned to Uni and work and yes like you by the end of the day have swelly belly.

All I can suggest is the same as you are doing, get home put your feet up and relax.

A nice warm bath helps and then to bed.

I usually find it is less swelly in the morning, so rest is obviously part of it.

Hope all goes well
