Thank you Beth for the supportive words. So I talked to my doctor today and I am just going to take progesterone for a couple of months to keep the hot flashes and night sweats under control. I feel good about this after talking to the doctor it really makes sense not to be on estrogen. Boy I am finding being scared really makes me a stronger advocate for myself around my health. I think this is a good response to fear! So now I will see how it goes. Thanks for the support.

Let us know how that goes, Kadin. I'll probably be in the same place. Dr doesn't want to give me HRT because of family history of cancer. Anxious to hear alternatives. Hope to have surgery in December. Will know more after meeting with gyno 10/20.
