I had a TAH/BSO 5 days ago............so, it is really too early for my experience!!! I am sure someone will come along with some advise for you!!!!!!!

I have PCOS and had my LSH on June 6th. I kept my right ovary and can tell you that my PCOS problems have kicked back in full force. I have three cysts on my right ovary, the hair problem is back, the sugar problem, etc. I'm back on birth control in hopes of stopping/slowing down my cysts. I will probably have to have the right ovary removed...ugh...more surgery!

I have been pushing for a hysterectomy and my dr has been trying everything else under the sun. So I deceided to start researching on my own did you guys keep ovaries, or not and are you still experiencing pcos symptoms?

This is what I was told. The hyst is only taking care of one of the problems caused by PCOS. The others will still be there if you have them to begin with. I still have to take care of my blood sugar. Even if they take the ovaries, the other hormone producing glands still aren't necessarily going to work correctly since they all have to work together. PCOS is the whole package that isn't working not just the ovaries.
