Should I buy some pads?

I will be having a TAH/BSO, should I get some pads for after the surgery? I have read of some people having discharge, is this with both types of surgery? I haven't had the need for any for a while, with the Lupron and Depo, so I don't have any on hand.

Should I buy some pads?

kjckjckjc,

If you don't want to wear the ones provided in the castle you can either purchase a small pack or get some off of a friend.

I am two weeks post op from my TAH/BSO and I only needed a pad for two days, I had no heavy bleeding just some spotting and I was having my period at the time of surgery.

When you come out of surgery you will have a pad between your legs to soak up any discharge or bleeding and more than likely that will stay in place until your cath is removed. Then you will be able to get up and walk the halls and visit the bathroom on your own.

Hope this helps.
