Fabulous Friday! Oct. 10
Good Morning my BEST Friends!!
I am still in the throes of this issue, and don't see it letting up for some time. Made breakfast last night and got up early and DH was making eggs for me. I couldn't refuse. Faced squarely with my "can't say no" syndrome at 5:30 AM. Today we go out for our quarterly "lunch club" and it's an Indian Restaurant so I am excited. Still no Curves attendence and barely walking but I remain hopeful, and committed. And just a little disappointed in myself for not pushing harder, but sleep has not been good for the past couple of weeks and I seem to choose sleeping over walking in the rain and fog. I hope you will still love me.
Gotta go, letters to write and tomorrow we'll take a waay long to Wilmington to see my brand new niece. Will bring one with us, just for the fun of it.
Love and
Desk

Good morning BEST sisters!!!
Woke up refreshed this morning for as change...had my half cup of coffee, and I'm working on the first of 7 large glasses of water. I'd be real happy if I could (consistently) return to being more of a morning person, and one who is wide awake! The sun has finally broken through the fog, a whole bunch of geese flew over when I was hanging out the laundry earlier.
Oh Tamara - sending s to you and prayers for your mom. Can you talk directly to her doc to be able to understand more of what is going on? And your job, is this a permanent position or temporary...I can't remember. Can you discuss the impact of current changes with your supervisors?? Determine some boundaries of what you will do based on the job description or expectations they described when hired???
Has anyone heard from Katie since Sat??? Sending to her family too.
Need to go back over the past few days to take down some notes to be able to be more personalized in my responses.
I may be a bit peculiar here but I like wearing nylons...just not in the summer. But I can't stand high heels!

Fabulous Friday! Oct. 10
Good morning ladies!
My mid term exam was bumped back to Monday - uggghhhh! I hate when things get postponed, but the reason was understandable. Biggest problem is that we will spend a total of 14 hours in the car on Sunday driving to and from U of Illinois and arrive home at about 3am, then have to take a test at 8am. Not a good scenario for me, I need lots of sleep in my old age.
No exercise yesterday other than a walk uptown from my office. Its raining today, so maybe I'll get to try out my "rack" for riding my bike indoors this evening. And food, oh wow was I bad yesterday. But today is another day, no point in looking back and worrying about bad behavior now.
Have a great weekend.

morning!
Hello ladies, Good morning to all of you. Wow, this is early for me.
Normally I dont post until after i've started working.
TGIF! I love Friday mornings when I can turn off the alarm clock.
Funny, though I still tend to wake up at the same times. For someone who has had insomnia for what seems like an eternity i'm always thankful for any sleep that I can get!!!
Off to Curves in a few. Weighed on my scales still no change. Trying not to get bent out of shape about it. Surely inches have come off. All of my pants are big. "Will not worry about it, i feel so much better". Don't know if I'll do 5 workouts every week. Normally I dont go on Fridays. Our Curves is closed on the weekends. Is it like that in other areas? Enough whining!!!!!!!!
My DS is turning 10 on Sunday. He's the baby! My insomnia started when I was pregnant with him and it never went away.
It gives me a reprieve every now and then, but not for long.
Oh well, He is a blessing. Take care friends, and have a good day.
Drink that WATER! I am pointing a finger at myself!

Fabulous Friday! Oct. 10
I am with Shirley - TGIF!!!! It has been foggy here the past few mornings and I hate getting up and it is still dark outside!
Am starting to finally feel somewhat better and hope over the weekend it will go totally away! I am tired of being sick and tired
I have a lot to do today wrapping up loose ends for the week and hope the day goes by fast!!!
For the weekend I plan on working on my home projects and have found someone I think to take all my mom's clothes and stuff and will finally have that space back. Yesterday evening was another productive one, mopped all the floors, moved some yucky old stand out of my little foyer at the back door and put a nice little round table with a skirt in its place with a porcelain coffee pot with flowers in it. My kitchen is done with blue hearts and birdhouses and is coming along quite nicely with the other rooms. I ordered new birdhouse patterned dishes and matching glasses and they came in this week so I will get them unpacked and washed and put away and now I will have enough to serve 8 people on the same type of dishes instead of everyone having different plates. Doesn't bother some people but it sure has bothered me for a long time.
I am trying to remember all that I read from yesterday evenings posts and am in a this morning but do want to ask Lisa where she got the device for her bike. I have been wanting to do that with mine and didn't know they sell something like that.
Shirley - I bet you looked great in your dress. Today I am being a little bold and proud myself. For years off and on I too have gone the loose look to hide myself and as I am getting smaller now am learning to wear more form fitting clothes with pride and confidence. Its been chilly in my office this week which probably hasn't helped with my bronchitis. Yesterday I about froze in here and today have on a sweater skirt set that I got from my mom. It is a teal/green color with gold buttons and have to admit it looks very sharp. Doesn't it make you feel so good when you know you are looking better and better as you work towards your goals????
Nancy - you must have the nicest looking legs in town with all the walking you and Chevy do together! I would love to have your endurance and determination!!!!
The rest of you BEST gals, forgive me and my mind and hope that all is well with everyone today. I will try to come back after lunch and catch up with the rest of you!!!!
Hope you all have a great day!!!!

Fabulous Friday! Oct. 10
Morning, all.
Just a minute to pop in here before 8mm and walk to send hugggsss to all that need them this Friday morning.
Stopped by Curves yesterday and the deal is 149 sign-up waived by proof of 2003 boob smashing / 29 dollars a month / special benefits (like being able to use any Curves anywhere, med leave, etc) / one year commitment OR pay 149 sign-up fee / 39 dollars a month / no commitment / no special benefits. It's open at six M-F and at 7 on Sat - being an early riser I like the hours.
I have a tryout Mon at six in the morning. Will make decision after that - I have til the end of Oct to decide.
Must run - my day is just too busy today, including a bday party at work at seven thirty this morning. I will be back in later to confess and see what you all are up to today.
Have a wonderful OP Friday and whistle a little tune as you go thru your day - makes people wonder...

Fabulous Friday! Oct. 10
Good afternoon ladies.
I am feeling very sad right now and needed the comfort of my BEST friends. My grandmother passed away this morning,My mom called me at work and my boss was nice enough to let me come home. You may remember I visited my grandmother in September for her 90 birthday celebration.I knew then that Gram wouldn't be with us much longer. We have been preparing for this for the last 5 months but no matter how prepared you are it still hurts.I will miss her very much. She lived a long and happy life and it was time for her to go home. She died peacefully.Myuncle and my cousin were with her when she passed. She gave my uncle a kiss and told him goodbye. So I'm headed for northern Maine either tomorrow or early Sunday morning. My mother told me the fall colors up there are gorgeous.Gram would likethat Fall in potato country is so beautiful.Vey fitting for a very beautiful lady!Gotta run.Have to try and track down ds and book a hotel room.

Valerie, I am so sorry to hear the news of your grandmother. From my own experience you can know that it will happen but can never prepare yourself for that moment. The loss of a loved one regardless who it is, how long they have been sick or whatever the case, is the hardest thing to accept especially when you are close to the person.
I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. At least she had a good long full life. If all of us were to make it to 90!! I can only speculate she was at terms with things and was lucky to have some of her family with her and she went peacefully.
Please let us know how things go and be careful on your trip north and try to enjoy the scenery and think of her and cherish your memories!
Again, you are in my thoughts and prayers!!!!
