Vaginal Dryness

I had a complete Hystorectomy May 2002 - I have slowly developed vaginal dryness. I have tried some of over-the-counter items and I don't care for them. I take one Estrace a day.

I have no other issues. Within 6 weeks of my surgery, I felt better than I had in years. I am very glad I had the surgery.

Any one have any suggestions?

There are lots of vaginal estrogen products that are very effective against vaginal dryness. Also if you do a search in this forum on vaginal dryness, you will find lots of other women's experiences with these products.

Hi:

I had my hyst. 3 years ago and have had a bout with vaginal dryness a lot within the last couple of years.

My dr. prescribed estrace vaginal cream. A small amount inserted about twice a week really did the trick for me. I am so glad that he suggested it. I thought I would be that way for ever and couldn't stand that possiblity.

I know how uncomfortable, in many ways, that it can be. But I do know that it worked for me.
