back for the doctor again

I understand how you feel. It is really hard to deal with illness or recovery when it becomes a chronic situation. It feels like you are not making any progress and somehow you think you should have better control of the situation. When I have been faced on many occasions with long term illness and slow recovery I have often wondered, Why me? I have had to tell myself that I didn't ask for this and that I will have to settle down and give my body the time it needs. The more upset I become the worse I feel and the longer it takes to recover. The word resiliant no longer exists in my vocablulary. I have to admit that I am different than most people when it comes to health and accept that it is only one part of my life, although it seems to consume so much of my energy. I have to count my many other blessings and realize that this too shall pass. I am sorry that you are facing more recovery time. I am also on sleeping pills. (Restoril) They have made life bareable. I am getting a good nights rest and this makes a big difference in my overall emotional well being. Hopefully you will find that with rest you will feel less overwhelmed. Good luck and let your body do what it needs to for your complete recovery.

Hi, Cheryl

I'm sorry things aren't going well for you. Your body does need rest and that will make everything seem worse when one is tired. It does take time to heal from these surgeries and we all heal differently.

I hope you rest and heal properly so you can do the things that are so important to you and your family.
