How soon did anyone ski after surgery???

You may think I am nuts to even be asking this...but I have a TVH (and a few other things while they are there!) scheduled for 11/6, and had plans to ski over the holidays. Is that the most rediculous thought? The family is counting on it, and I, for one, would really like a realistic goal after surgery. I appreciate your thoughts and ideas.

How soon did anyone ski after surgery???

Hi .. that was my first question to my DR !!

I always go skiing in Europe at christmas with my DH and DS .. I will be 13 weeks post op at christmas, and I am starting gentle exercises at the gym this week (I am 4 weeks post op), to ensure that I am fit enough to go.

My GYN/OB said as long as I am over 12 weeks it should be no problem, however I am only 32, and you really need to speak to your DR to clear you for either light exercises or skiing prior to going.
