surgery in 8 days

Hi, I am new to this website but had to write to say thank you all for such great support, info, humor, and just plain ole' hope! I am 42 with miserable periods and fibroids and will have a TVH next week and I am so excited to be moving onto solution after over 10 years of searching, accomodating to Aunt Flo, and being sicker and sicker....last iron count was way low....dizzy and weak--I want my life back!!! I even tried accupuncture a couple of years ago, massage, energy work, herbs, tai chi, and it all probly helped but Aunt Flo did not let up...fibroids are growing and I am tired of being in the early trimester pants! I have two boys, ages 10 and 17, a wonderful DH, and a dog and a cat, both here with us 14 years+....very blessed and very grateful to have come upon this website, every chance I get I am reading away.....gonna dive into the bedtime stories now....again thanks so much for you all being out there and sharing--it is making a tremendous difference in my overall outlook and feel wiser to boot! take care all.

If I count right, you're having your procedure the day after mine (SAH, 4 Nov.). Please access your profile and enter in your date so you can get a good luck greeting before you go in.

I'm 41, fibroids, heavy bleeding, etc. and have had this for 4 years. Although I'm a little nervous, I can't wait to get my life back too!

thanks for your post, i tried to change it but can't, don't know how. thought i did it when i initially signed up...oh well. good luck to you as well. aunt flo came back within 3 weeks this month and has hit with a vengence like it knows what is just around the corner....i look so forward to getting this behind me! can't wait to just do it! thanks again for the reply! take care.

Welcome to Hystersisters. I agree that this place is great, I'm glad that you joined us. Please feel free to ask any questions that you have. There's usually someone with info and experiences to sahre.

If you'll go to the top of this page, you'll find "control panel" - click on it. Then click on "edit profile". Then just scroll down until you get to "surgery date". You should be able to add yours then.
