Ouch Gas Pain!!!!!

I am 5 weeks post-op. i am having hard time to pass my gas. there is any easy way to relife gas pain. please i need help i try gass-x that help but not much. i feel some of my gas stuck some where in my left side lower part of abdominal & can not let it out. i walk for half an hour. some of gas is bothering me bad.

Sometimes having a fizzy drink can help, such as club soda or flavored carbonated water. If you are far along enough post-op and physically comfortable with it (this may seem embarrassing, but...) try getting on all fours and lowering the front of your body down to the elbows--yes, so your bottom is up in the air. This has sometimes helped me to pass gas. I hope you find a solution soon! Gas pain is truly miserable.

i totally feel your pain, for 2 weeks i was in so much pain from gas that I was accually on demeral in the hospital. of corse the way they helped me in the hospital isn't an option for you( they stuck a plastic tube up into my rectum to relieve the gas) it was pretty brutal. one thing that did help with the pain was a warm bottle or towel laid accross my stomache.it was accually sort of comforting as well. hope this hepls. the doctor told me that as soon as my bowels settled down. they would start working better and passing the gas normally. i'm not sure what your situation is but with me I had to have my operation due to extremem blood loss so my body went into shock and my bowels shut down. once some of the swelling went down( which was all gas) things started to kick in and work better. in the mean time if this is at all close to you, then try the warm on your stomache to relieve pain.
