YIKES...5 Days until Surgery...

and I just got a call from the Dr's office and they are having to cancel because the hospital (even after I went in for a pre op screening) have decided that my insurance they don't take anymore. I'm so upset. They don't think they can reschedule until the 4th of December now. I have relatives coming to help me out next week from Texas and Pennsyvania and they have flights and I now have to tell them Sorry...rescheduled...Eat those tickets.

I'm so sorry. I was cancelled twice, I understand and can feel for you. It seems like these things always happen right before yougo, doesn't it?

I had to cancel all my relatives from NY too. They weren't able to reschedule; but , you know, I just hung out here and got probably more help (tea and sympathy) that sort of made up for the relatives. My DH took a couple of days off and I was able to just use my local family. It was fine and I hope yours will too.
Take good care, sweet girl.

((( Hysterpal )))

That is a major bummer!! I'm so sorry that you had that happen to you.

If your relatives can't get an exchange or refund, maybe they can use the tickets and just visit with you. That could turn out to be enjoyable for all of you.

I'll be praying that you can get it all worked out soon. Best wishes.

Great News

My Dr's office called this afternoon and said they can get me in at noon on Tuesday. I guess the tears helped. Thanks for all of your support. Hugs to all

Cancel...What?

I had been pursuing surgery since May. Two surgeons couldn't get their schedules together until August, which is when school starts. Hello!! They knew I was a teacher, so they actually chose "Meet the Teacher Night." How convenient. So then, we chose a date before Thanksgiving, November 13. Great - 8 weeks to recover before school starts in January. NOPE! I get a call on November 10, telling me that one of the surgeons had a date conflict! We were able to settle on November 20th, after I pitched a fit. You know how if you make your waiter mad, they could spit in your food...I wonder what my surgeon will do?
