Debating my cervix staying

Hi,
My surgery is next week. I have decided to keep my cervix because other than cervicitis on paps - I have had no problems. My theory about the cervicitis is that my uterus is sick and it has caused my cervix to become irritated and my doctor agrees.

So here is why I am questioning it: Some woman - 1 in 30 have had bleeding after the hysterectomy. I wonder how many of my sisters have had that and if so, is it just spotting like my doctor says it will be if I am one of the rare cases that still menstruates. Thanks for all of your help.

It sounds like you are not sure about keeping your cervix. I decided not to keep mine, but some ladies do. I think it all depends on the woman if she is going to have a mini period or more than that. We all are so different inside and hormonally as well.
