Pre-Op Adventure

I have to say I'm still upbeat about my visit Monday. All I can think of is my pain and bleeding to death is about to come to an end. Met with the doc for the last time last week and he said it would be a piece of cake. Pre-admission at the hospital last Thursday was interesting. New construction going on at the hospital, so no one knew where I was supposed to go. They sent me all over that place. In my "travels" I passed through mammography - guess I should have been upset - decided to go ahead and get my mammogram while I was there. Oh well. Finally got to surgical pre-admission (2 hours later). Out walks my husband's bosses wife who is a nurse who took good care of me a few years ago when I had laproscopy. The Lord does take care of us. Felt like the evening was o.k. then. Told her my concern of absolutely not being put on labor/delivery floor. She said no problem-consider it done. Everything is just falling into place. My parents are coming in from Texas today, so I'll soon have my momma with me.

I have to tell yall about work. Yesterday was my last day before surgery. The girls took me to lunch and made me feel so special all day. I told them I felt like it really was my last day of work. I checked with the boss to make sure I could come back Of course she laughed. I had such a special day.

Thanks for letting me share this with yall. I feel so blessed to have so many people that care about me. It sure helps face the castle date.

((( Kim )))

I'm glad that your pre op was good. I'm sure that being reassured will help you get through these last few days of waiting.

Congrats at being treated so well at work. That makes a day very nice

Give your momma a big hug for being there for you. I'm sure that she'll pamper you properly, as a princess should be.

Best wishes.
