Lump along incision?

Hi,

A hard lump arose near the bottom of
my incision, and I was wondering
if anyone has experienced this? It's
really hard and looks like a welt,
and on the other side of my incision
it's kinda red.
The only place I can go today is
the ER, and I will have to pay for it. I would rather wait til Monday
to see my doctor.
I had a TAH BSO three weeks ago.

Thanks!

Lump along incision?

Hi....I'm 1 week post-op and the skin along my incision is really

hard. I too have those mysterious lumps at the bottom. I'm a

little concerned, but don't know what is normal. Maybe it's time

to call the .

Sorry, but I'm no help with any answers.

This was my first major surgery.

Lump along incision?

Hi
I had a lump at the very end of my incision on my left side. It looked like a dark red blister and it was very hard. My doctor told me not to worry and it faded away after about a month. If you are worried, you should call your doctor. I hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.

Lump along incision?

Hi,

I'm about 8 weeks post op and also have a hard lump next to my incision. I went to the doctor last week and she said that it sometimes happens due to the internal stitches given. It should go away, but she didn't indicate exactly when.

Hang in there..........

Me too

I have a lump as well (LVH with cervix, kept ovaries) on each of my incisions, but my

physiotherapist friend said it was deep bruising (hematoma) inside and under the skin.
She recommended using a vitamin E cream or cocoa butter and gently rubbing it in to
work the skin and keep it flexible. I did this and my bruising went almost completely
away. There is still a little lump, but it is almost gone. I would worry only if the skin
was hot to the touch around your incision, or if it was oozing anything, or if you had a
fever.

Good luck
