Started HRT today

Today was my 4 week post-op appointment and all went well. All my plumbing (what is left!! ) is looking alright!!
My gyn/surgeon put me on Esclim .025mg patches(lowest dosage of estrogen available). Hoping that it will curtail the hot flashes, night sweats, and insomnia I have been experiencing.
If all goes well, I will not need to see him for 6 mos.
He said it may take up to a month to level out, so here goes the waiting period!!
I did boast to him about this website and hoped he got the hint to pass the website along to other future that may need support.
Well that's all the good news I have for now. Will keep y'all posted as to how the Esclim is working!

Good luck with the Esclim! I hope that it will be your ticket out of the As your doctor stated, do give it some time. I would recommend that you start keeping a journal of symptoms. The journal really helped me to see when I was finally on the right track. Even though my flashes were the last to go I could see by looking thru my journal that they were coming less frequently so I figured I was moving in the right direction.
