vaginal pressure

Ok, I've read enough posts to know I can ask anything here. I'm 16 days postop from TAH/BSO and appendectomy and have really been feeling well... not too much pain, just lots of fatigue. Yesterday I went to the grocery with my dh and 2 ds and ever since have had alot of vaginal pressure, not really pain, just uncomfortable, almost like a tampon in the wrong place... did I just overdue it? I didn't drive, push cart, or lift anything.... thanks, all!

You too???

I experienced the same thing two days ago! My DH and I are both private pilots, so we rented a small plane and flew to see some friends for a couple of hours. Welllll.....the vibrations from the plane did a little number on me, and the next day my vagina felt soooo strange! I told my DH it felt like it was bloated, or going to fall out, or had something in it, or...or...or....
I chalked it up to overdoing it (once again) and made myself rest.
The next day it was pretty much gone, but I'm still having little "tweaks" now and then. Have you looked at www.pelvicfloor.com? I saw it on a message board and took a peek (don't go if "real, live" surgery pix get to to you!). It made me realize how much trauma our poor little pelvic floors went through, and that there truly is so much healing to take place.
So....just more odd sensations, I guess, on this road back to normalacy! Hope you're feeling better....and be sure to REST!!!

Thanks TXWings... Sometimes its just nice to know someone else has experienced the same thing! I did take a peek at pelvicfloor.com and it really puts things into perspective. Its so hard to imagine all the healing that must be taking place inside. I'm finding it really hard not to overdo it. My brain is ready to get back to my usual busy life but obviously my body isn't!! It can be frustrating but as my DH reminded me today its only been a couple of weeks and I'll certainly be back to where I was eventually. Sounds like you are recovering well... that's terrific!! Keep taking care of yourself and thanks again.

vaginal pressure

Sometimes, the pressure feeling can come from vaginal atrophy.
I had the feeling for a long time, thinking it was part of the healing process. My internist found I had atrophy and fragile tissue from low estrogen levels.
Be sure to keep a watch out for this condition. It is not fun.

Me too

Hi There,

Oddly enough I just had that sensation an hour or so ago. It felt like a tampon was in my vagina and needed to come out. I sort of think I over did it all week... I have been putting up Christmas lights, we did the outdoors over the last 3 or so days and I was probably lifting things I shouldn't have been.

Today is the first day I actually sat down and did NOTHING! I sat right here at the computer and did Hyster Sisters all day! I also took a look at www.pelvicfloor.com and was amazed. This convinced me to TAKE IT EASY from now on. If my DH wants to argue this point, I'll take him to Pelvic Floor and show him what I saw!!! And he can read what I read. If my dkids want to see - no problem. I'll show them too!

All in all though, I'm feeling GREAT and my family has been totally wonderful!!!!!!!

vaginal pressure

I had the same feeling until about 6-8 weeks post op. I was told it was internal swelling and that it would take a while for the swelling to go down. You may want to try sitting less or sitting for shorter periods of time to see if that helps. When I went back to work at 6 weeks post op I took a pillow to sit on. That seemed to help some what. In fact I am still sitting on it at work.

It does get better.

Me too!

I'm 18 days post op, and I have that, I called the doc, (I always call the doc ) and he said it was from swelling, (I also had rectum repair done). I have noticed that anytime I do to much, even when I don't think I'm doing to much, like going to the store, walking around to much, I get that feeling. If it gets to bad, call your doc...
