Doctor Visit

HELLO,
I CAME BACK FROM THE OB TODAY. I HAVE NOT SEEN A OB SINCE MY OPHARECTOMY ALTHOUGH I HAVE SEEN MY FAMILY PRACTICE DOCTOR FOR MY MENAPAUSE. I AM SO GLAD I WENT AND FROM THIS DAY FORWARD MY OB WILL BE THE ONLY PERSON TO EXAMINE ME. IT TURNS OUT MY PELVIC PAIN AND PAINFULL INTERCOURSE ARE CAUSED IN PART BY A RAGGING INFECTION I HAVE TWO INFECTIONS A YEAST INFECTION AND GARDNERRELA WHICH IS A BACTERIA INFECTION BUT NOT A S.T.D WHICH WHEN HE SAID THE NAME THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS.
I AM ON MEDICATION HE FIGURES THAT I HAVE HAD THEM FOR AWHILE, HE SAYS THAT YEAST INFECTIONS DONT ALWAYS ITCH. STRANGE I ALWAYS THOUGHT THEY DID BUT APPERANTLY NOT.
I AM STARTING MY ESTRATEST H.S AGAIN EVERY OTHER DAY, THE DOC SAYS THIS SHOULD GIVE ME JUST ENOUGH OF WHAT I NEED BUT NOT TO MUCH. I AM GOING TO BE POSTIVE ABOUT MY H.R.T AND TRY TO IGNORE THE BAD STUFF I HEAR ABOUT HORMONES AS EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. I ALSO HAVE THE RECTOLE OR HOWEVER YOU SPELL IT WHEN YOUR RECTUM IS FALLING DOWN. HE SAYS MINE IS MILD, HOLLY COW I CANT IMAGINE WHAT SEVERE IS. HE IS HOPING THE H.R.T AND KEGLES WILL HELP ENOUGH TO AVOID SURGERY. I HOPE SO TO. TAKE CARE LOVE BRANDEE

Doctor Visit

Hi Brandee I'm glad you went to see your DR! Gosh, those multiple infections sound uncomfortable! I'm glad you're on meds for them now. Make sure to also use some kind of probiotic daily, or eat unsweetened yogurt with live active cultures, to bring back the "good" bacteria that you need to have to keep the yeasts under control, OK? There is more information on preventing yeast infections here

I'm also glad you're starting your HRT again. If you do your kegels and take your HRT, it just may be that you can avoid having to do anything about that rectocele.

s,
-Linda
