6 mos post op and spotting

I'm almost 6 months post op. I had a basically good recovery, but today I noticed I'm starting to have some dark pink discharge enough so that I have to wear a liner. My stomach also feels kind of tight and achy. I hate to call my doctor this late in the stage because I'd have to drive 1 1/2 hours to see him and right now, we're in the middle of a major snowstorm!

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

6 mos post op and spotting

Hi Kimf,

If you are having spotting after not having any since early post op I would call my dr and see what he has to say. He may have an idea on what to do next. Is there a hospital or clinic closer to you than your dr? It may not be anything, but at least give dr a call.

I hope the weather gets better for you where you are. I bet it can be a mess on the roads and all.

Take care and let us know what you find out.

Do you have your ovaries and cevix still intact? Could be a mini-period.

A call to your DR is a good suggestion too just to ease your fears.

6 mos post op and spotting

Hi Kim I'm around 5 months post -op and I have had on again off again spotting for the last few weeks mostley after relations with DH.I went to my on wed I had granulations I also had it at my 6 week check up.

I didn't think I could still have it after all this time shrug:.I asked exactly what is granulation. He told me it's like when u have a scrape and the silky stuff that forms over it before the scab forms.

When I had granulations at my 6 week check it did not hurt to have the silver nitrate treatment but I think this time there was more beacuse he had to snip some skin away

He also told me it will eventually go away on it's own but why spot all the time when you can come in have it taken care of.

Hope this helps but for your own piece of mind call your dr.
