anyone know what this means??

It may sound striff but am wondering what the T&O stands for as far as a LAVH goes. I just got a statement from the DR and it stated I had a LAVH (of course) with a T&O. I have no idea what that is...am thinking it may have something to do with the right ovary and tube being removed? Does this sound about right??
Anyone here have the same thing done? Any input or if you know a site where the info is please let me know.

I think you are very likely correct in your assumption that it's the tube and ovary removal. Usually called an oopherectomy for the ovary but can't remember the technical term for the tube. Ask your Dr. or call and ask the nurse, just so you know for sure.

I'm not sure what that means not that it may be any help but I had an LAVH with LOOP (left ovary removed, right one already gone) VVS (bladder suppension) Csyto (something where they ran dye through my bladder and tubes to make sure they did not tie anything off by accidient). I would ask the doctor what he meant by his short hand. My doctor got alittle miffted by me asking what all of mine meant but I figure this is what we are paying them the big bucks for.

I do know the medical term for tubes is "salpingo" so am totally lost here with that billing statement! I don't recall him doing any other repair work, unless it just slipped his mind to inform me! And for his sake, I hope he didn't forget to mention a thing.
