surgery date

Hi ladies,
I got my surgery date for 1/16/03 this week. Besides all the regular fears that I read about daily I am just really stressing in general about the moneynwhen I'm off. My DH is disables and I am the main breadwinner. Even though I have sick leave and can use some vacation time this is always when a surprise shows up and I am worried that it will be something that I will feel guilty over not being able to handle.
I too will be coming home with a catheter as I am having bladder and rectum repair in addition to the hyst. I have always been the one who takes care of everything and now I will have to be dependent on others. I KNOW I will have problems with that. I have ordered comfy flannel jammies and warm socks for when I come home.anks to eveyone on the site for your great lists and suggestions! I feel by the time it comes around I will really be ready.

Hi Kyle.

You really need to let others take care of you after your surgery. It is hard but it has been said so many times on this site. You only get to heal ONCE. Letting others take over is vital to your recovery. Enjoy it. If you do too much too soon you may have other complications which could possibly keep you out longer and you certainly don't want that if you are concerned with money. So take it easy RELAX, drink plenty of water, and enjoy being a

You may want to rethink the flannel jammies if you have your ovaries out. You may find you want to sleep in the nude. Those hot flashes can be very warm. But keep the warm socks. I have hot flashes but my feet remain cold.

Good Luck and God Bless.
