I'm finally home!

After spending 2 extra days at the castle I am finally home.
I was due to be released on Friday, but I got a post-op infection and my fever spiked. So no going home Friday. Then...on Friday night I had vomiting fits. Nothing would stay down. Fenegren shots would not help. (And by the way...DANG those burn!) So no going home on Saturday.
Surgery went fine. Since I had to stay in the hospital so much longer they went ahead and took my catheter out this morning. I peed in the allotted time so I was able to come home.
Besides the obvious pain involved I think the hardest thing for me was learning how to get out of the hospital bed. har har. Talk about a beached whale! I sure felt like one.
Think I'll go on to bed now. I'll write more when I get the chance.

I'm finally home!

Welcome Home Tina!!

I'm sorry that you had to stay in the hospital longer than expected and am awfully glad that you finally got to come home and are doing well now. Be sure to drink lots of fluids, rest, and some every day.

When you feel up to it, please post your Castle Story in the Princesses Tell Hyst-Stories Forum and we'll be looking for your posts in the Post-Op forum, too.

I'm finally home!

Welcome home Tina,

I'm sorry that you had problems, that doesn't sound like much fun to me. But, you're home now and that's nice.

Remember to get lots of rest, slow easy walks, and
I'll be praying that all goes smoothly for you from now on.

Sorry you didn't get to go home when planned, but I'm glad they found that infection before letting you go. Sending quick healing vibes your way.
