No Appetite!

If you really have to force yourself to eat 5 weeks post op, I would mention it to your doctor. Some appetite decline is normal because your activity level is lower. If you haven't lost a great deal of weight, then I don't think you should be concerned.

No Appetite!

Hi

I think appetite is relative to your lifestyle, I've been really laid up since my TAH, pretty much housebound and not really doing much, so I guess my body doesn't need the amount of food it used to. I've tried to drink lots of water, eat good food (i.e. fish, chicken, veg and lots of fruit) but since surgery I've really lost my sweet tooth. I used to enjoy chocolate, ice cream and cakes but they really aren't an issue now. I've lost about a stone and feel and look better because of it.

If you start to feel that you really dont want anything to eat I think you need to have a chat with your because to get well you need a balanced diet to help the healing process.

Best Wishes
Tilly
