how do you adjust hormones for stress?

Can any tell me how they handle adjusting doses of estrogen, or any other hormone they are taking to help with particularly stressful periods? My additional stress is outside my control right now, and I am feeling like my estrogen is low.
I am on the patch, so adjusting doses is difficult.
Thanks, I appreciate any information.

Hi Linsue! Where do you wear your patches? If you wear them on your tummy, you can give yourself a little boost by putting it on your backside.

I wear my patches on my hip or backside, but I also use a vaginal estriol cream... if I feel I need a boost, I might take some of the estriol cream and rub it on my wrists or ankles for a little extra boost.

Another thing you could do is to ask your DR if he/she has some samples of the .025 patch that you could keep handy just in case, to put on when you're under more stress.

I hope this helps!

JMHO but if the stress is going to be shortlived and you are otherwise doing okay on your current dose I wouldn't change anything. Perhaps finding some ways to relax and release your stress could help.

On the other hand if you do feel that some adjusting of the hormones is in order, I think Surferbabe's idea of asking the doc for some samples of the lowest dose patch is a great
