femring...anyone tried it yet??

hi all...been quite awhile since i posted...but need the input from you sisters out there...
i have been on climara patches ( irregurlary i admit due to not being able to afford it!!) but my doctor today recommended femring! unfortunately i have been having a sharp pain w/ intercourse that the doctor suspects is scar tissue from all my surgeries...anyway, i am feeling very very very uncomfortable w/this darn thing in! i seemed to be ok when i left the doctors (he even checked to make sure i had it "in" right) but as the day has progressed, so has the pain! he mentioned that it may cause pain if it pushes on the same "sore spot", but he didn't think it would happen...has anyone tried the femring yet, have you had any uncomfortableness or actual pain with it? is it possible that i just need to maybe readjust it ? or just let me body get used to it? i probably sound really dorky, but i haven't used a sponge or anything similiar to that so i really don't know what is normal and what isn't...
thanks again gals for all your support!!

femring...anyone tried it yet??

hi,
I have not been able to use the femring because i live in Canada and it hasn't been approved here yet....I'm planning a trip to the states this month to see if i can get one anyways, the femring is supposed to work identical and look just like the estring in which i have used... the first two weeks of using the estring were pure torture for me because of the vag. atrophy and pain i was already in. Adding the estring just irritated it to no end. I did endure it though and even took a few pain killers. I have been using it pretty consistently for 2 years now and really forget it is there most of the time. Hopefully if you just hang in there your body will get used to it as mine did the estring. They are supposed to be the same size and shape and look identical. Good luck
