Scar Tissue

What is scar tissue (sorry I have no idea)?
What does scar tissue affect? What does scar tissue feel like?
Does scar tissue have anything to do with my incision (horizontal)?
All reponses are greatly appreciated.

scar tissue

According to "Hyper Medical Dictionary," scar tissue is "A mark left on damaged tissue after it has healed. It can form on the skin or on internal wounds. "

Basically, it's the big scar/mark left from your incision and anywhere else internally that was cut, scraped, cauterized, or otherwise traumatized by the hyster. It feels different for everyone. I've had a scar down my belly for most of my life (kidney surgery when I was three) and it's harder and not as pliable as the rest of your skin. Once the incision area heals, you can touch it and feel the thickness. Kinda like the difference between thread and rope, in my opinion. It can be massaged to help it become more flexible and pliable, once it's fully healed. The redness DOES go away and it becomes skin-colored after a year or so (earlier for some, later for others).

Scar Tissue

Oh yeah, and it has EVERYTHING to do with your incision. Basically, your incision (the red line?) will become scar tissue. As it heals, touch it, move it around some (after it doesn't hurt, of course), and examine it. It's actually quite interesting!
