climara patch

i have been on the climara patch .1 for the last four weeks, i was doing pretty good until yesterday, i developed a rash around the patch and it itches, i am also nauseous and have a headache, but i don't know if this is related to those symptoms, since both of my daughters had the headaches and nausea only a few days ago, so this might be the flu. i wanted to find out if anyone of you ladies had at one point maybe become allergic to the patch?
it might be the glue around it or the ingredients, i am not sure.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

climara patch

I react to the adhesive from the climara patches and have to take benadryl to counter the itching.

climara patch

Alex,

I had the same problem with the Climara patch. About 2 months after I started to develop a rash, itchy and red bumps. My dr took me off of it. I take pills now. I would call your dr tomorrow and get something else. Good luck

climara patch

Hi I also broke out from the clamara patch at first it was just red bumpy spots then as I continued use it became itchy then I started having pus pockets under the patch. My dr said I was having alergic reactions to the patch so he changed me to the v- dot. I have been very happy with it.

I also have headaches and some nauseated feelings when I first apply the patch maybe a day or two and my dr said it was from the surge of hormones. I have found over time I don't experience that as much.

Please call your dr if you have any concerns.

climara patch

Hi --

I was unable to use the Climara patch -- I had a bad headache that didn't end, dizziness, nausea, and flu-like symptoms. My doc told me to take off the patch and I felt better within hours. I never developed a rash from it though. I ended up back on Premarin, after trying Cenestin and Estratest and having the same reactions to them. I seem to do better on synthetic hrt for some reason.

If you've been doing well on it for a few weeks, the headache and nausea may or may not be from it........there's so much flu and so many colds going around. But please call your doc if your symptoms continue.

Take care --
Ann

climara patch

Hmmm....I'm a bit late on this discussion, but I haven't had any problems with my Climara patch...other than the normal one of having all my hairs ripped out as I try to remove it once a week - those things stick good! *grin* But in the past 7 weeks post-op, I've gone from .1 down to a .5 and really have had no problems.
