granulation tissue

I had surgery 7/23/03 everything is gone. I had to visit my doctor yesterday because of bleeding after sex. I have granulation tissue and I was treated with silver nitrate. My doctor wants me to come back every week for 5 weeks for this treatment. This is extremly painful. How did anyone else cope? How long did it take to heal again? What about sex in the future?

granulation tissue

I had granulation cauterized with silver nitrate at my 6 week post-op exam. I did not feel anything when they did the procedure and only needed one treatment. After the procedure I had a blackish/brown discharge for a few days and was then cleared to resume all activities. Possibly your granulation is not healing quickly and your doctor wants to wait 5 weeks to re-examine you and see how the tissue has healed. Occasionally more than one treatment is needed. Ask your doctor about taking some pain medication prior to the procedure if it is very uncomfortable. You will need to wait until the area is completely healed before resuming sex. I hope it is better soon.

treatments

I have been bleeding post of now for 12 weeks. I have been treated with silver nitrate 10 times. I go tomorrow for my eleventh. I have had painful treatments and not so painful. I also have a hematoma at the top of the vaginal cuff that is draining. My dr. doesn't give me an end date to bleeding yet.
Good luck with yours and I hope it isn't as long as mine has been

granulation tissue

I am almost 6 months post op and 2 days ago I went to work to discover blood. talk about shock. The spotting did stop several hours later but I am going to the Doctor tomorrow. There has been no bleeding since Wednesday but I am so concerned. Actually scared to be more like it. So it looks like we are in the same boat. I have a feeling that it is granulation tissue.

Bless my DH's heart, he is so patient and loving. He thinks that it is his fault that I was spotting the other day.

I will let you know how I am doing.
