Calling all sleepy sisters :-) 3-4 weeks
I am 3wks and 4 days post.
I can't get to sleep at night until early next morning. When I do fall asleep I have terrible nightmares. Dr. changed me from Climara .075 to Vivelle.1 which has helped. Dr. also gave me Ambien 5mg to get my sleep schedule straitened out. I sleep well using it, but the next day I feel strange, kind of jittery and have brain fog. I think I will suffer through the night trying to fall asleep because I don't like the way it makes me feel. It may work better for someone else, since we all seem to be a little different.
When I went to the Dr. Tuesday, I asked if I could take a bath yet and she said, "Go ahead. It will be okay."
I also asked about driving. And she said that was okay too. But I tried to drive Wed. and felt mild pains in my tummy. My back was hurting pretty bad that night when I tried to fall asleep.
I haven't had any bleeding. I was wondering if I will or not. I had a SAH/BSO.
Mostly what I am doing to feel better is nothing. I mean ignoring housework and cooking and driving and all the other stuff that I need to do and trying to be patient with family as they take care of things for me and treat me like the princess I am... for now. I think we as wives and parents deserve it. It is our turn to be pampered for this short period if time.
One thing I haven't had too much of is gas or constipation. Thank God! I had both so bad before surgery and Dr. said that the operation would probaly take care of it and it has so far.
I do have bladder spasms, but they are improving over time. Had another UTI when I went in Tuesday. More antibiotics.
Swelly belly is very bad one day and the next few days is tolerable. Tried to wear largest jeans I have today and couldn't. Well, I probaly could have, but saw no use in being uncomfortable.
Well, Terry I hope this helps. I pray that God continues to heal you. Take care.
