Get involved...and spread the word!

Hi,

For those of you interested in increasing awareness of ovarian cancer, have I got a sight(s) for you!...

http://ovariancancer.jhmi.edu/home.cfm

This is the Johns-Hopkins ovca site. They've been working on it for a while, and it's great. If you click on the works "get involved" on the blue bar at the top of the screen, you can scroll down and find the link to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (www.ovariancancer.org). This will give you sample letters to send to your state Senator and Reps regarding the Department of Defense monies to be used for ovca and the "patient's bill of rights". You can join this organization also.

Plus, http://www.ovarian.org is the site for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. They also have local groups in most states...or will help you to start one in your area.

Ovarian cancer, it whispers...so spread the word!

p.s. Teal is the ribbon color for ovca

Thanks for posting those Kate. You're right - ovarian cancer does whisper - so by increasing our awareness we can learn to listen.
God Bless,

Thanks Kate,
I really appreciate your post and places to find info on ovarian cancer. Since my diagnosis 9/21/2000, I have learned so much about this type of cancer through these posts, others experiences, and my trips to Borders and the library. Thanks to all of you sisters out there who have shared your stories. This site is WONDERFUL!
Take care,
Margo
