How much were you told

you could do when you get home? Sheet I got from dr at pre-op yesterday said I could resume light physical activity as soon as I get home. What exactly does that mean? I thought for about a week, you basically stayed in bed except to walk.

I'm a big baby and just don't want to do too much.

THanks!!

Jeannie

How much were you told

Hey Jeannie,
Mine said the same thing so I called and asked. I had a tvh bso and was able to fold clothes but not put away and walk that is about it. It depends alot on the type of surgery yu are having. The first couple of days after you get home you will not feel like doing anything...Good Luck and DO NOT overdo..........

How much were you told

I had a TAH and could do everything except lifting. I did not stay in bed the first week. While reading, watching TV, etc. I sat in my recliner. I walked outside everyday too.

But I did not do any vacuuming, for several weeks. Around week 3 I started using a swiffer and could clean the bathrooms.

Hi Jeannie:

Here's a good article on what's "allowed and not allowed" during the early post-op weeks.

Good luck with your surgery. Pamper the Princess!
