Anyone a Curves member?

Hi ladies,

I just joined Curves the other day, as it was 40% off the initial setup fee. I am going to go and get in shape before having the surgery on the 19th of next month. My DR will give me a 2 month sick leave so I don't have to pay the additional 2 months when recovering. Do you think that is enough time to go back to Curves? I am having a SAH, leaving one ovary.

Have any of you ladies continue to go to Curves after your surgery? How long after, and did you have any problems? My goal is to tone up and drop about 10 pounds.

Anyone a Curves member?

I joined curves on Thursday. I am 11 weeks post op and feel fine doing it. I think at the 8 week mark I could have done it too. You can take it slow, that is what is good about the program. I get motivated just walking into the place.

Good Luck

Hi Flameglow -
Good for you (joining Curves)! I was wondering how your visit went Friday. I'm hoping to go back the 1st of March.

Anyone a Curves member?

Hi Denni,

I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to going back! We are expecting a snowstorm tonight and tomorrow, and a mess on Tuesday, so I may not be able to go ...my goal is to get Mon, Wed, and Friday in. Let me know when you go back. I will probably be scared to get back into it after surgery. I hope 2 months is a good recovery time to get back into it.

Time will tell.

Anyone a Curves member?

I just joined curves last week and I am excited. I started walking after my hyst and lost 30 pounds and felt great. Then I started having night sweats and daytime sweats so they put me on a low dose of Estradiol and I gained over 30+ pounds back. I decided to start working out to also help with my depression. I stopped taking those pills also. I am not looking to get super skinny or even skinny, I just want to feel good again and look good for me. Good Luck everybody.

I'm a dedicated Curves member!

This morning was my 100th visit to Curves.I'm 17 month post op and I joined Curves May 2003. In December I had reached my goal weight! I lost 24.5 lbs. and 22 inches. Curves is the best thing I have ever done for myself for my health, physical fitness.

Congratulations! You are on the right path and you will soon feel stronger and look great!

Sandi,

Congradulations on your weight loss. Your post gives me so much hope that yes it will happen for me. I do love curves. I just got the best news about curves, they are moving one right around the corner from my house. Just 5 minutes away. I am so happy about that. I'll be there everyday. I want my Good curves back.

Anyone a Curves member?

I joined Curves in October 2003, I really liked it, I lost alot of inches. I had surgery on 12-26-03. I haven't been back yet, but I hit my 6week mark this Friday and the Dr. told me I could start back after then. I will try to go in on Saturday and just take it slow. I have lost 10 pounds since my surgery, so I hope I can keep it up. I also started the South Beach diet a week ago. I really need to lose weight and firm up.

How long did it take after your hyster to go back to curves? And did you do all the exercises going back for the first time?

I joined the end of Jan, to get strong for the surgery, and I love it. My daughter goes with me too. I am not overweight, but have to tone ...as gravity tends to take over.

I am looking to lose inches on my thighs, hips, and butt, as that is where it all lays. I somehow lose it everywhere but there!! I hope curves helps me there.

I too go 3 days a week and can't wait to be remeasured in a month. Did you notice a difference in a month?
