Leaking fluid badly

I'm a 36 year old woman who had a radical hysterectomy 2 weeks ago due to cervical cancer.

My recovery was doing fine until 2 days ago I started leaking an orangish/yellow fluid. After confirming that I had no hole in my bladder and that urine was not leaking into my vagina, the doctor said that it is fluid from the apex canal/vaginal cuff. I've been through about a dozen maxi pads a day and it's tough for me to go out now.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, how long did it last.

Leaking fluid badly

Hi Annie, Did the doctor see you, or did you call? That sounds like a lot of fluid to me. I was told to let my doctor know if I had any amounts of discharge like you are discribing.
I'd try and get in to see the doctor to find out exactly what is causing this and why.
Make sure you are getting plenty of rest. You shouldn't be doing anything right now but taking care of you. And resting for a large part of the day.
Let us know what the doctor says.
Take care!

Fluid leaking

I had TVH left both ovaries, on 1/20 and have been leaking the very same fluid but in smaller amount. Only using panty liner but description is the same. My friend had a TAH the same day as me and has not had this fluid for several days now,. I think we're all so different. Was yours Vaginal or abdominal? I am lucky I can compare notes with my friend. We can compare notes. hope your doing better today
